King Canners will be in DFW and he wants to tell you his story. He is former Chelsea winger who played from 1981 – 1986. His life with Chelsea and his battle with the odds during his footballing career is a story you don’t want to miss. Canners has a remarkable life story filled with trials, challenges, blessing and opportunity over the years and his tenacity has brought him joy and success! He is also an award winning author of his own autobiography, “Black and Blue”. Canoville's memoir was published in during the spring of 2008 and won a number of awards in 2009 including: Best Autobiography in the National Sporting Club & British Sports Book Awards.
During the event, we will have a Q&A with Canners and an auction/raffle of match day programs, a signed copy of his book, and other paraphernalia. You will also have an opportunity to get a photo-op and chat with Canners about his journey. We will have this event at our home pub, The Londoner Addison. Cost for Shed End Dallas Members (along with Family members of Shed End Dallas) will be $5. The nonmembers price will be $15. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Paul Canoville Foundation.
