It’s been a long two & a half weeks!

But the final stretch of a very long Premier League begins with a London Derby at home vs Spurs. The last match was a 7 goal thriller away at Spurs back in December. Enzo Maresca had the lads all in form and playing at the top of their game right before the Christmas run of matches, but then it has slowly drifted sideways and we are all left thinking where this season could still end up? It’s probably too far out from any Premier League title hopes, but all is not lost, as all matches have their part to determine where the club may be placed by season’s end: possibly back in the Champions League or the Europa League (with two shots at it, being the favorite to win it all in the Conference League).

It was a well needed break as many of the squad players have had time to recover from their injuries and are in close contention to be back in the starting XI. We shall see who Maresca will turn to this Thursday!

What a thrilling match!

It was a valiant effort from the lads this past weekend against Aston Villa. After going down 0-2 in the 1st half on two deflected shots, the boys fought back strong and tied the match up with two wonderful goals by Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher. Then what was the go ahead goal off a corner kick, the ball deflected to the head of Axel Disasi and he put the Blues in the lead 3-2. But once again, VAR strikes. The goal was reviewed & disallowed after it was deemed a foul occurred by Benoit Badiashille on a push that help assisted the go ahead goal. Entertaining to say the least, yet disappointed, that’s the story of the season in a nutshell.

Four matches left in the season and up next is a London Derby matchup at the Bridge vs Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are reeling after a deflating loss in another London Derby this pass weekend vs Arsenal. They’ve slowing moving further away from the top 4. Let’s put a nail in the coffin to that!

New month, new start.

After a disappointing defeat to West London neighbors, Brentford, we head up to North London to face the surprise league leaders, Tottenham Hotspur who under new manager Ange Postecoglou have so far gone unbeaten in 10 matches to start the PL season. Always a match to remember in these derbies vs Spurs so let cheer up the lads and take our own surprise victory!
