It’s the 2nd leg of UEFA Conference League where th e boys currently lead 2-1 on aggregate, In the 1st leg, 2nd half goals by Reece James & Enzo Fernandez help secure the victory from a closely contested match in Copenhagen. A late 80th minute goal by the Danish team kept them in distance to keep it a close competitive match going to Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca will have some crucial decisions to make as there is huge London Derby coming weekend against PL rivals, Arsenal. Will he put out a youth squad to start and then rotate in his usual starters, or will he try to close it out early and the sub on the academy players? We shall find out!

We are into the knockout rounds of the UEFA Conference League & the boys are back into action as the top seed. Cole Palmer & Trevor Chalobah been added to the Conference League squad as a number of players have moved out since last playing in this competition back in December. Enzo Maresca is pushing for what likely is the club’s only shot at a trophy this season. They will head to Copenhagen this week in the 1st of a 2 leg tie vs FC Copenhagen.

The only other time both clubs went head to head was also in a round of 16th Champions League two leg tie in 2011 winning on aggregate 2-0. Nicholas Anelka scored both goals in the 1st leg and both teams played to a goalless draw in the 2nd leg. It should be an interesting match as Copenhagen are top of the table in the Danish Super League & the lads having a nice 9 day layoff since a 4-0 victory over Southampton in league action. Let’s hope the long rest is what the lads needed to find their form once again.

It’s the last match of the league phase rounds in the UEFA Conference League & the boys look to continue their dominance as they sit atop the Conference League standings, and are the only club who’s qualified to the knockout stages. Sitting currently with a 100% record, (we won’t count the loss in the qualification playoff against Servette FC) the lads will seek to keep that perfect record in the competition against Shamrock Rovers FC.

This will be the 1st ever head to head match up against the Irish club. They have won 4 Premier Division titles out of the last 5 years, falling just short last season of 5 in a row. Rovers currently sit 6th in the Conference League table, and are fighting to say in the top 8 for an automatic bid to avoid paying in the playoff phases.

We are back in European League action as the lads begin their quest in the UEFA Conference League campaign. With the new implementation of rules, there are no longer group tables, only one big table of 36 teams. Every team has been selected to face against 6 different opponents - home & away. The top 8 will advance automatically into the knockout round, the next 16 will face each other in a playoff to determine the remaining 8 teams who will advance to the knockout rounds, the rest are automatically eliminated from competition.

First up? A home match agains The Buffalos of KAA Gent.
